  • General tab
    • Posting mode. In automatic mode CLAD will try to determine the best posting strategy and will try to post with the least expensive resources at first (e-mails), then elevating to CL accounts on failure and finally will try PVAs. However, in most cases you would want to explicitly tell CLAD what posting method to use. For instance, if all of your campaigns require PVAs to post, you should select "PVAs only" in this box to avoid unnecessary and time consuming checks.
    • Fast navigation to the posting page. When posting your ads, CLAD can avoid lengthy procedure of selecting a state, city, section, sub-city and location and navigate directly to the posting page where title, description and other ad attributes are filled in. Although that works faster, it may look suspicious to Craigslist because normally when a person is posting manually, he/she is unable to skip city/category/etc selection. If you suspect that Craigslist may be noticing automated posting patterns in your campaigns, it is better to leave this option OFF.
    • Disable instant confirmations with CL accounts. Usually when posting with CL accounts/PVAs, at the end of each post CLAD will click on account link in the top right corner of the "Thank you for posting" page to check whether the ad has actually been posted and appears in your CL account/PVA listing. This process is known as "ad confirmation". However, instant clicks on account link after posting may look like an automated posting pattern to Craigslist, although we believe that this is unlikely. However, if you suspect this possibility, you may want to try to turn this option off and see if that improves your success rate. When this option is OFF, CLAD will log in to the account 15 minutes later to confirm the ad.
    • Geo-targeted posting. This option is discussed in a separate article dedicated to geo-targeting
    • Sending browser information to Craigslist. Normally when you post manually with the browser, Craigslist collects as much information as it can about your browser and computer and sends it along with your posting title/description/etc to Craigslist servers. This information may later be used by Craigslist to identify (tag) your browser/PC user account and take measures if excessive amount of posts is detected from that browser/PC user account. Firefox browser is more vulnerable to this procedure as it is able to reveal a lot of information about the software installed on your computer. CLAD Genius is able to prevent Craigslist from gathering and sending that information when this option is set to "Block attempts to send browser information to Craigslist"
    • Auto-edit ads. You probably noticed that after you submit title/description of your ad on Craigslist, you have an option to review your ad and Edit it in case you found some mistakes. Usually we do not use this option when posting automatically, because there is no need to. But when humans post, they occasionally use that button to actually correct their ads. So we believe that Craigslist may be giving a better credit to posts that have been edited, which in turn may help with ghosting/pw reset and other unpleasant issues. Please notice the word MAY (in the sense that it is no guarantee that it WILL help - try and see if it works for you)
  • Resources tab
    • Resource usage restrictions - PVAs. Suppose you have 3 PVAs and 10 ads in your campaign. You want to post 2 ads on each PVA, but after 2 ads are posted, you want to leave that PVA to rest 48 hours. Also you want to have at least 15 minutes delay between posts on each PVA (between 1st and 2nd post on each particular PVA in this case). Also, when CLAD has selected a PVA to post an ad, you want CLAD to stay logged in to that PVA and post a second ad on it before switching to the next PVA. In this example, your settings will be as follows:
      • Re-use PVA every 48 hours.
      • Maximum posts per 1 PVA during re-use interval = 2
      • Minimum delay between posts on 1 PVA = 14 minutes
      • PVA Re-use policy: Re-use same account if allowed
    • Resource usage restrictions - Non-PVAs - meaning of all options is similar
    • Resource usage restrictions - IP Addresses - meaning of all options is similar
  • Timing tab
  • Internet tab
