Virus / Trojan in the software
Article The software may be reported as "suspicious" or "unsafe" by some antivirus kits, because it uses your Internet Explorer browser to emulate navigation over Craigslist's and other websites. This makes antivirus software suspect a virus. There is little we can do about it, because this is the way software functions.

Also, there are few antivirus kits that give false positives when you try to run CLAD.
The most well-known case is with AVG antivirus software. If you look closer at the file where AVG detects a virus, you will see that it is csc.exe from Microsoft's .NET distribution.AVG finds a virus NOT in CLAD, but in the utility that is a part of Microsoft's software. We have no idea whether Microsoft intentionally distributes a virus or is it your antivirus being overcautious (we hope the last one is true), but in any case it has nothing to do with CLAD Genius since virus is found NOT in any of the files distributed by our company.

Recently, someone has submitted our server's URL to the AVAST database, so Avast networking module will tell you that CLAD is attempting to contact to the malicious site and disable it. There is nothing malicious there

There may be other cases when certain detection kits output warning messages about virus/trojan.
We are not able to monitor all of those cases, but we can assure you that we are the developers of the software we distribute and we do not include any virus/trojan/spyware/malware or other malicious code in it.

If you are still in doubt and are afraid that your confidential data may be in jeopardy, you can install an isolated virtual machine on your PC (for instance, you can use VMWare - www.vmware.com for that or MS Windows virtual machine that comes with Windows 7, or VirtualBox) and run CLAD inside of the virtual box, where it will not be able to access any of your personal/confidential data

You can also use online scanning tools like http://virustotal.com to make sure the software is virus free
